We love nothing more than running and playing in the woods and letting dogs be dogs. We believe that adventure and the freedom to roam and socialize is vital to our four-legged friend's mental and physical health.

At A Bark Above Dogventures we treat our four-legged clients as our own and take all necessary precautions to keep your dog safe while they're with us.
We always carry plenty of water, a first-aid kit, and extra leashes on our Dogventures.
We are insured, bonded, and Pet CPR certified.

Marina Theberge
Owner, Lead Hiker, Trainer
Based in Worcester, MA
Two huge passions of mine are the natural world and dogs. I love nothing more than taking dogs out on the trails and seeing them light up! At A Bark Above Dogventures my aim is to allow average household dogs experience the outdoors by giving them the ability to run, play, learn, and use their instincts, while letting out all of their excess energy!
I have 15+ years of experience with dogs (puppies, elderly, working dogs, and special needs) from volunteering to various types of training to dog sitting. My own two dogs are a German shepherd and cattle dog mix. They are full of energy and require time outdoors and mental stimulation for their mental and physical well-being. What I've realized is that when they are well exercised and their minds get to work, they are happier, better behaved, and adjust better to life at home. I want all dogs to experience the freedom and adventure of being on the trails and have their owners, regardless of busy schedules, get to see what well-behaved dogs they can have!

Hi! My name is Emily! Born and raised in MA, I’ve had dogs my whole life! I have two girls, currently, Maggie, an independent, adorable little golden girl, and Kona, a spunky, wild child who loves cuddles!
I’ve been at A Bark Above Dogventures since April of 2024 and it’s honestly one of the best places I’ve worked. I love being out on the hikes and walks with the dogs, giving them experiences of a lifetime! Seeing the dogs have fun while being in nature is so rewarding. I love seeing them play and run and then happy to settle in when they get home for a nice long nap.

Hi! I’m Matt and I was born and raised here in Worcester. I’ve had and have been around dogs since I was very young. Right now I have two rescues from Tennessee named Toot and Tilly!
I started with A Bark Above Dogventures in early 2024 and absolutely love seeing all of these dogs open up as I spend more time with them. Plus, it’s absolutely great exercise & socialization for them! My schedule generally includes the two hour group dogventures and solo dogventures with an assortment of dogs.

1% of our profits are donated to the Scituate Animal Shelter
Piper, a recent foster who became an addition to our family.
Why we give to the Scituate Animal Shelter:
Piper came to me with severe emotional & physical trauma due to her past living situation. She is what the shelter deemed a "project dog." Through the diligence of the shelter, I was able to adopt her and provide her with a full life. Our donations continuously help other shelter dogs live full & happy lives as well!
