We call our dog hikes dogventures- an adventurous style of dog walking where a dog can be a dog! Our customized group hikes are a doggy daycare alternative for the benefit of your dog's physical & mental health.
When your dog leaves the house, there are variables outside of our control, however, we treat your dog as our own and take necessary precautions to keep them as safe as possible. We create an environment to set your dog up for success and safety from the moment they leave your house until the moment they arrive home. For dogventures, we offer a seat belt, kennel, or free roam option during transportation. On the trails we always carry a first aid kit, plenty of water, and extra leashes. We also provide a long-lead for dogs that are not fully ready to be off-leash or are still working on their recall. We only accept dogs that are dog-friendly and non-reactive and reserve the right to remove a dog from the pack if it jeopardizes the pack's safety and stability.
Yes! If you are not going to be home for a pick-up or drop-off we require you to provide us with access to the house and detailed instructions before-hand. We will review details at our in-person complimentary Meet and Greet.

Yes! We take all breeds and all sizes of dogs. All dogs, no matter the breed, are required to have a complimentary meet and greet. This is to determine their personality, temperament, and activity level so that we can find a suitable and enjoyable service for them!
For our dogventures, we provide services in Worcester, MA and Northborough, MA, as well as a couple of touching towns. If you live close by, send us a message and we can see how we can accommodate you.
For training, we will travel throughout Central Mass- please inquire.
All you will need to supply is your dog, their collar (with tags), harness, and a leash for pick-up and drop-off. Otherwise, we will provide long leads, a first aid kit, water and bowl, treats, and transportation accessories as needed.
Yes! A Bark Above Dogventures is fully insured and bonded.
Yes!
Yes! Though we close for a number of holidays and will close for inclement weather (harsh heat, bad winter conditions, etc.) and will notify you as soon as possible about any cancelations or delays.
Yes! We teach all dogs in our dogventures the same commands to ensure a safe & structured environment.
However, dogventures don't substitute obedience training. We encourage owners to inquire about obedience training for dogs and owners who haven't taken a training class previously. Trained dogs adjust to dogventures more smoothly and have more pack flexibility.
